The Misdiagnosis Book
Eça de Queiroz, a celebrated Portuguese writer, died prematurely, leaving an unfinished masterpiece due to misdiagnosis of his illness as tuberculosis, when in fact he had amyloidosis. Recently, biographers and doctors discovered the true cause of his death. Collaborating with a PhD on Eça de Queiroz's writing style, patients brought life to the unfinished story, shedding light on the disease and the importance of correct diagnosis. The completed book, titled "A Rainy Day," received praise from literary critics and was added to the permanent collection at the Eça de Queiroz Foundation, serving as proof that with proper diagnosis and treatment, patients can continue to write new chapters in their lives.
